What are chakras?

If we analyze the word chakra, we realize that it means circle in Sanskrit. Normally, we attach the word to the energy that flows through the different parts of the body. This concept is little or little used more in Western culture, but where it is used most is in Eastern culture, in meditation and yoga. There are seven vortices or chakras in total and they are responsible for symbolizing the union between matter or body and mind or consciousness. What the chakra does is absorb energy from the environment, process it and subsequently assimilate it. This assimilation is carried out through the vibratory frequency of the human being into which it has been introduced. Remembering that energy is distributed through the spinal column. The important thing is to be aware of that energy, to work on it and take advantage of its benefits.

Meaning of each of the chakras

To correctly study and understand the chakras, we are going to divide them by color. There are several types, I invite you to pay attention to the following section:
  • Root chakra: they are red and it is what connects us directly to the earth. It is located right at the base of the spine. It is often said to have a broad relationship with basic needs, that is, love, security and subsistence.
  • Sexual chakra: we link it with the color orange and it is one of the best known. It is directly related to pleasure, hence it is one of the most sought after. Specifically, it is related to the pleasure that is obtained through a person's sex. Specifically, it is located below the navel, normally it is two fingers below it. It is responsible for the proper functioning of the testicles in men and the ovaries in women.
  • Solar plexus chakra: it is yellow in color and is characterized by having a similarity to a shiny gem. To find it, we only have to put two fingers above the navel and we can easily locate it. This place is where our identity as people is found and where what we seek in life is contained. In that place we can know what our intentions are and what we want to do with them. We can easily notice all the sensations that are linked to this chakra in the intestine. In addition, it is responsible for ensuring that the pancreas functions properly.
  • Laryngeal chakra: it is represented with the color blue. It is located right in the center of the throat and is linked to expression and especially communication. On many occasions we notice it through the physical discomforts and anxieties that can influence us on a daily basis. It is responsible for the functioning of the thyroid gland.
  • Heart chakra: it is represented with the color green and is located right in the chest, specifically where the heart is located. It is the representative of love and is closely linked to gratitude, the ability to forgive and empathy. The Thymus gland is the one that is governed through this chakra.
  • Third eye chakra: it is represented by the color purple and is located right in the area between the eyebrows. It makes the Hypothalamus and Pituitary glands function correctly. It is responsible for representing intuition, perception and, above all, imagination.
  • Crown chakra: it is white and is located in the center of the head. As you can imagine, it is responsible for governing the Pineal gland. It is directly related to the person's enlightenment and wisdom. Furthermore, it is the chakra that has a relationship with the divine and the one that can put us in direct contact with that universe that fascinates us so much.

How to start working with the chakras

Once we have become aware of the seven chakras that exist in the human body, it is time to analyze them and work on them to take advantage of them. To be successful, you not only have to remember their color, it is also essential to know where they are located so that the training is really effective. As you progress in learning about the chakras, you will not have to think about where they are located, but you will find them naturally. What's more, just by thinking about them you will notice them. This makes familiarization important when it comes to having awareness and union with the different chakras we have. On the other hand, experts tell us that to be truly happy and consequently enjoy a full life, it is necessary for each of the chakras to be in balance with the rest. But since it is not always possible, we must ensure that the vast majority are in balance. To achieve a balance between all of them, the best technique we can use is the relaxation technique followed by massages. Without forgetting that meditation is another technique that gives very good results, as long as we do it properly. With all these techniques we will be able to identify and work individually and collectively on each of the chakras. Thanks to good regulation, we can be sure that the energy field will be adequate and consequently we can feel better about ourselves. The objective is for the energy to flow equally throughout our body so that each of the chakras absorbs it and we can enjoy it. It must be taken into account that energy flows naturally, but it is not always used correctly. This is where we have to come in. To take advantage of it we have to work on it through the techniques that we have mentioned above. If you do, you can be sure that the experiences will be very positive.
